Meet Monet: Bringing Artistry to Every Detail

Hi, I’m Monet — yes, just like the artist.

Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do. With over seven years of experience as a florist, my love for weddings, events, and celebrations has only continued to grow. At Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals, I help bring each event to life — from pulling curated vintage pieces to assisting with on-site styling and setup, ensuring every detail feels intentional and beautifully cohesive.

I also love incorporating artistic elements through hand-lettered calligraphy on mirrors and signage — those small, personal touches that add character and charm to a space.

Outside of Prairie Lane, I run my own creative business specializing in floral preservation. Whether it’s blooms from a wedding, a memorial, or a maternity moment, I transform them into handcrafted pieces designed to hold onto life’s most meaningful memories.

Being named after Claude Monet feels especially fitting — I’ve always seen the world through an artistic lens. I’m passionate about using that creativity to help others celebrate, preserve, and remember their most special moments in a way that feels both beautiful and lasting.

What is your position at Prairie Lane and what does that include?
I am a professional florist and creative team member at Prairie Lane. My role includes working with both fresh and silk florals, assisting with event setups, and contributing to various design elements such as drapery and styling. I'm involved in a wide range of creative projects, helping bring each event's vision to life with a cohesive and elevated aesthetic.
How long have you been with Prairie Lane?
I joined Prairie Lane officially in early 2025, and have loved being part of the team ever since.
What drew you to the event industry and Prairie Lane?
I've worked in the wedding industry for over eight years as a florist, specializing in bridal bouquets and large-scale floral installations. Alongside design, I also managed rental inventory and warehouse operations, ensuring everything was organized and event-ready. Through that experience, I connected with Matt and Nicole over the years and collaborated on various projects, including calligraphy work for their rental pieces like welcome mirrors and seating charts. Prairie Lane felt like a natural fit, combining my background in florals, design, and hands on event work.
What is a trend in the industry you are loving right now?
I'm really loving the shift towards more unique and expressive designs. Couples are stepping away from traditional and embracing details that feel personal and bold. I also love the use of drapey layered fabrics, soft movement, and texture add so much depth and overall atmosphere to an event.
Where do you find your creativity?
Creativity has always been a huge part of my life. I was even named after the famous artist Claude Monet. I find inspiration in everything around me, from nature to everyday moments. I believe creativity isn't something you either have or you don't have, it's something you develop by learning to see the world a little differently. For me, it's a constant source of inspiration and something I naturally bring into everything I do.
What are you listening to while working?
I usually have a mix of podcasts and motivational content playing while I work, along with country music. Morgan Wallen is a favorite and definitely on repeat most days.
