Meet Coryn: A Creative Eye Behind the Details

Hi! I’m Coryn, an Event Assistant here at Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals.

I’m currently a student at South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!), where I’m majoring in Advertising with a focus on Events and Facilities Administration. I’ve always had a love for creativity and a passion for making spaces feel beautiful and intentional, so working in the event industry truly feels like the perfect fit.

My excitement for event planning really took off during an internship with a local Sioux Falls event planner. That experience gave me a behind-the-scenes look at all the moving parts that go into creating a seamless and memorable event—and I was instantly hooked. Since then, I’ve loved being part of a team that transforms ideas into thoughtfully designed experiences.

At Prairie Lane, I get to be hands-on in bringing events to life—whether that’s styling a space with curated decor, assisting with setups, or making sure every detail is just right. I’m especially drawn to the little touches that make an event feel personal and meaningful, because those are often what guests remember most. I also manage our newsletters, helping share inspiration, updates, and behind-the-scenes moments with our Prairie Lane community.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, or unwinding with a good book. I’m so excited to continue growing in this industry and can’t wait to be part of creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind celebrations for our clients.

How long have you been with Prairie Lane?

I joined the team in May of 2025.

What is your role?

I work as a warehouse and event assistant here at PL, where I help with a variety of tasks in addition to creating newsletters and completing other online projects. Each day is a little different, which is why I love it!

What drew you to the event industry and Prairie Lane?

 I have always had a passion for using my creativity to help others and the event industry blends that perfectly. To experience a new side of it, I joined PL and fell in love with the work, people, and reward you feel after executing an event.

What is a memorable moment you have had with the team?

Our team outings are always a blast! No matter what, we are always laughing or singing along with Matt to something that was playing. The friendships and memories built upon this team are something I am very grateful for.

What is a warehouse task you secretly love?

I am someone who really enjoys the little meticulous tasks so sign me up to organize vintage glassware, clean dance floor tiles, or attach backdrop pieces! The work that takes time is what I really find a love for, especially when I have a good playlist on!
