Meet Ally: Curating Meaningful & Memorable Moments

Hello! I’m Ally Quist, an Event Assistant at Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals, and I joined the team in June.

I’m currently finishing my final year at the University of Sioux Falls, where I’m majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. The event industry has always fascinated me, so being part of this incredible team feels like such a natural fit.

I consider myself an old soul with a deep appreciation for design, which is what makes antiquing one of my favorite hobbies. I love the character and story behind each piece, and that passion translates into how I approach events—thoughtfully, creatively, and with intention. There’s something so special about bringing elements together to create an experience people will always remember. Life is short, and I truly believe it should be filled with meaningful moments.

That passion for creating memorable experiences also led me to start my own small business, Lounge Lovely, in the summer of 2022. Through it, I design and create apparel collections that I sell online and at local markets. I also work part-time with Experience Sioux Falls, where I help showcase all that makes Sioux Falls such an opportunity-filled and vibrant place to live and visit.

At Prairie Lane, I’m so excited to continue growing, collaborating, and helping bring beautiful, one-of-a-kind events to life.

What is your position at Prairie Lane and what does that include?

I am an event assistant at PLVR! I have had the pleasure of helping with warehouse operations, event set ups, and tear downs.

How long have you been with PL? 

I started in June of 2025, so coming up on a year!

What drew you to the event industry and PL?

I have always found joy in making moments extra special. In the last few years, I’ve been drawn to the industry with all the details and creativity that goes into events. PLVR has given me the opportunity to help with the hands on behind the scenes work! 

What is your favorite rental piece right now?

I’m loving all of the unique ways pipe and drape can be displayed! Also, definitely can’t go wrong with one of the colorful settees.

What helps you stay organized in the warehouse?

I am always one to have a pen and some sticky notes. They help keep orders straight and give me a place to check things off!

Sweet or salty snack while working?

I love a good mix of them together!
