Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals is a family-owned event rental company serving Sioux Falls, Brandon, and the tri-state area. Our collection pairs vintage character with modern comfort, from furniture and decor to tabletop, lighting, bars, and backdrops for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations of every size. Our team is with you from the first wish list to the final pickup, helping you pair pieces, personalized the details, and bring it all together at your venue.

How Prairie Lane Began

Prairie Lane began long before the first rental went out the door. Co-owner and founder Nicole Anderson-Gappa grew up in a family that collected unusual finds and shared the stories behind pieces passed down through generations. She spent many of those early years helping her grandmother design and prepare gatherings for family and friends. Looking back, Prairie Lane feels like a natural extension of those first celebrations.

Her husband and co-founder, Matt Gappa, brought more than 15 years in the event industry as a DJ, so the couple already understood the timing and care behind a great celebration. When Nicole discovered specialty rental companies, the idea brought together her love for design, unique pieces, weddings, and helping others celebrate.

The collection started with vintage rentals, then grew as couples, planners, and venues asked for more. Today our inventory spans furniture, decor, tabletop, lighting, bars, and backdrops in styles from vintage and timeless to modern and luxurious. Through every season of growth, Nicole and Matt have held onto the same purpose of bringing people together in spaces that feel beautiful and personal.

  • Nicole Anderson-Gappa

    Co-Owner + Founder

    Hi, I’m Nicole – owner and creative mind behind Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals. What started as a passion for curating beautiful, meaningful spaces has grown into a full-service rental company. I’m endlessly inspired by the magic that happens when old meets new, and by the opportunity to create unforgettable experiences with our carefully curated collection of vintage, modern, and timeless pieces. I’ve always believed that the little details tell the biggest stories, and there’s nothing I love more than helping couples bring their unique wedding vision to life.

    When I’m not dreaming up design ideas or loading up our delivery van, you’ll find me teaching Jr, Kindergarten, hitting up a local antique store or an estate sale, planning our next road trip adventure, or squeezing in a quiet moment with a cup of coffee while snuggling our cat, Lucy.

  • Matt Gappa

    Co-Owner + Founder

    Hi, I’m Matt—co-owner of Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals alongside my wife, Nicole. Whether it’s building custom backdrops, installing dance floors, or mastering the art of packing everything perfectly into the van, I’m always up for the challenge.

    With over 15 years of experience in the event industry as a DJ, I understand the importance of flow, timing, and thoughtful details. From arriving on time and placing rentals with purpose to efficient end-of-night pickups, I focus on making each event run as smoothly as possible.

    When I’m not at an event or working in the warehouse, you’ll find me teaching elementary computer classes, riding motorcycles, antiquing, encouraging impromptu Blink-182 singalongs, or sneaking in a round of golf.

  • Rebecca Carlyle

    Event Manager

    Hello! My name is Rebecca Carlyle and I have been with the Prairie Lane team since the summer of 2022! I am a natural born planner & have a keen eye for design. I also have been planning the prettiest parties & designing jaw dropping events since 2017 with Serendipitous Events as the lead IA+SD event planner! I have a vision & am always ready for a challenge & am looking forward to creating your dream event with our inventory of endless rentals!

    I strive to create personalized & unique experiences tailored to each client’s needs. Whether an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, I am dedicated to excellence & committed to delivering seamless events. Every event deserves to be celebrated with meticulous attention to detail & creative flair & transformed into an unforgettable experience.

    When I’m not working on the prettiest events in SD+beyond, you can find me at the nearest country concert, enjoying the girl-mom life with my two daughters & always scheming up our next family or solo adventure!

  • Karlee Lundberg

    Warehouse Manager

    Hi there! My name is Karlee Lundberg, aka the newest member of Prairie Lane as the Warehouse Manager/Coordinator. I have always had a heart for service and enjoy helping those around me. I take pride in being detail-oriented and organized, and love doing something different on the daily!

    Being a part of this team lets me do just that! Around here, I prepare rental orders, keep our inventory in check, and ensure our process runs smoothly for clients and the team. The added bonus? Getting a sneak peek into our customers' special days with the items they put together!

    When I'm not working in the warehouse or playing Jenga while loading the van with Matt, you can catch me grabbing a coffee, getting some fresh air and exercise outside, or being a homebody while watching my favorite sitcoms!

  • Monet Ernste

    Event Stylist

    Hi, I’m Monet and yes, just like the artist!

    Creativity runs deep in everything I do. I’ve spent over seven years as a florist, and my love for weddings, events, and parties continues to grow. I work with Prairie Lane, where I help bring events to life, from pulling vintage rentals to assisting with setups — making sure every detail feels special and thoughtfully styled. I also bring an artistic flair through hand-lettered calligraphy on mirrors and signage, little touches that add a unique charm.

    When I’m not working with the Prairie Lane team, I run my own creative business focused on floral preservation. Whether it’s blooms from a wedding, a memorial, or a maternity moment, I preserve them in handcrafted pieces that help people hold onto life’s most meaningful days.

    Being named after Claude Monet feels more than fitting, I’ve always seen the world through an artistic lens, and I love using that creativity to help others capture memories in beautiful, lasting ways.

  • Coryn Wolff

    Event Assistant

    Hi! I’m Coryn, an Event Assistant here at Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals. I’m currently a student at South Dakota State University, (Go Jacks!), majoring in Advertising with a focus on Events and Facilities Administration. I’ve always had a love for creativity and a passion for making spaces beautiful, so working in the event industry feels like the perfect fit!

    I first discovered my excitement for event planning during an internship with a local Sioux Falls event planner. That experience gave me the opportunity to dive into all the moving parts that go into creating unforgettable events—and I was hooked! Since then, I’ve loved being part of a team that brings unique visions to life.

    Whether it’s helping style a space with unique decor or making sure every detail is just right, I enjoy using my creativity and communication skills to contribute to events that leave a lasting impression. I’m especially drawn to the little touches that make an event feel personal and meaningful.

    Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family and friends, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, or relaxing with a good book! I’m excited to continue growing in this field and can’t wait to help create beautiful, one-of-a-kind experiences for our clients!

  • Ally Quist

    Event Assistant

    Hello! I am Ally Quist, and I started in June with Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals. I have one year left at the University of Sioux Falls, where I am majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. The event industry has always fascinated me, so I’m excited to be part of this sweet team! I find myself to be an old soul with a passion for design, and that ties into antiquing being one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy putting together special experiences for people that they will always remember. Life is short and should be filled with memorable moments, so I am eager to assist this team with executing that!

    My passion for curating memorable experiences stems from my entrepreneurial venture, Lounge Lovely. I started my own small business in the summer of 2022! I have been designing and creating apparel lines for sale online and at local markets. I also work part-time for Experience Sioux Falls, where I market the opportunity-filled city of Sioux Falls.
