How Our Event Rental Process Works
Renting with Prairie Lane is designed to feel simple from the very first piece you save. Here's how it all comes together, from building your wish list to packing everything up once the celebration ends.

Step One: Build Your Wish List
Browse our collection and tap the heart icon to save the pieces you love. Your wish list can be adjusted at any time, so there's no pressure to have every detail decided. Looking for ideas? Our blog is full of styling inspiration, and our warehouse is open by appointment if you'd like to see textures, colors, and scale in person.

Step Two: Request Your Quote
Submit your wish list along with your event date, venue, and any details you have in mind. A member of our team will prepare a personalized quote within 2–3 business days. Each rental includes a maintenance fee that covers cleaning and upkeep, so your quote stays clear and simple. Delivery is priced by order size and distance, and setup and styling can be added to any quote.

Step Three: Reserve Your Date
Once your wish list and event details are finalized, we'll send your contract. A 50% non-refundable retainer is due at signing, and your rentals are held for your date once we receive both. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event.

Step Four: Refine the Details
Plans often shift as an event comes together, and that's expected. Adjustments to your order are welcome up to 14 days before your event, whether your guest count changes or you fall for one more piece. If you've requested custom painting or vinyl, this is when our team finalizes those details with you. Before your event, we'll also confirm your Will Call or Installation and Retrieval details for the day.

Step Five: Delivery, Setup and Pickup
Every piece arrives cleaned and ready, and you can choose the option that fits your event. With Installation and Retrieval, our team delivers, sets up, and styles your rentals, then returns after your event to collect everything. With Will Call, you'll pick up your rentals from our warehouse at a time set before your event and return them within 1–2 days afterward.
Caring for Pieces with a Past
Many of our rentals have lived full lives before arriving at your event, and their patina, worn edges, and softened finishes are part of what makes them special. A few vintage dishes are best used for display rather than food or drink, and our team is happy to point those out as your quote comes together. Antique mason jars and glass vessels should hold battery-operated candles or LED lights only.
Custom Event Decor and Signage
When a detail calls for something more personal, our team can tailor select pieces to your event. Custom color-matching and painting bring bars, backdrops, and props into your palette, while vinyl adds names, dates, and themes to welcome signage and dance floors. For a softer touch, hand-lettered calligraphy adds a handwritten finish to mirrors and signage. Our team also builds custom backdrops for ceremonies, photo moments, and reception focal points.
